In the first week of August 2024, the ūmėdė.lt camp invited artists to share their work and prepare for the ūmėdė.lt 2025 festival. Artists, curators and researchers worked together to create scenarios of what would happen if electricity and internet were to disappear and how they could both share and survive and contribute to solving societal and natural crises.
One line of thinking was proposed by guest Prof. Dr. Audrius Beinorius: “alternative rationalities” – knowledge and practices that have been devalued by traditional science and/or knowledge systems, from various beliefs to folk medicine and various traditional ways of thinking and coexisting with nature.
